What we do.
From our studio we’ve recorded and mixed several albums, completed the sound design on numerous features and captured voice-over recordings for countless corporate, television, and radio projects. Our audio suite is designed to work seamlessly in cooperation with our video editing facilities for unimpeded full-service production and post, while also independently available for radio or music recording.
What we do Differently.
Our approach in audio is similar to our production directive. We work with the end result in mind. We will consider your film from all sides of the story prospective. When done correctly, audio is half the story in a motion picture, and we consider each story carefully and craft for the best effect. We are a team of audio professionals who seek to fine tune the audio craft and push the envelope by putting a meticulous focus on detail. Because our theatre is designed as an ADR stage, we have the advantage of being able to re-create audio with the real dynamics of a large room that contains a half dead space. Typical ADR done in the studio has a sterile feel and dynamics would usually need to be created digitally to match the room on the image. When the image calls for a large room or an exterior shot, no matter how good or talented your sound designer may be, there is no substitute for recording in a large room. Audio is unfortunately often an afterthought for most independent producers. From a technical and business standpoint, we offer the proper finishing services for the expected deliverables distributors will require. What we do different is our professional stance of uncompromising devotion to the story.
Our Facilities
We can accommodate audio projects of any scope, on our Pro-Tools, Pro Logic 5.1 surround sound suite. Regardless of weather we design the mix for a feature length motion picture, or a 30-sec broadcast radio spot, we have the specialist audio engineers to fit your needs. Eye Candy’s studio boasts an advanced audio mixing suite equipped with a Pro-Tools HD system, digital boards, a Pro-Controller, and a laundry list of state of the art equipment making it one of the premier studios for sound-mixing and design in the Southwest.
